Two Kubota dealers and a factory area service manager have not been able to solve the problem with my Kubota BX2200 cutting unevenly. The deck is level, blades are sharp, and deck is not warped or cracked. I like the size of the tractor, but the finish cut is poor. I am so fed up that at 70 hours, I am considering biting the bullet and getting a Deere 2210. (I compared a Kubota B7510's cut, and although it was better, it was not as smooth as my old B7200.) Anyone have any experience with its finish cut with a 62" mid-mount mower? Anyone have any experience with a Mahindra 2015 with a mid-mount mower?

Why don't they just put on another deck and get it over with? I've mower with two of the above mentioned tractors and the Kubota has a problem as you won't get the job done any better. ....

I have had my 2210 with 62” MMM for about a year now (106 hours). I mow about 1.25 acres of tall fescue and 1.25 acres of alfalfa each week, and have no complaints with the quality of cut. The deck stays level side-to-side, and has a nice even cut. When finished, the lawn looks great to me. Although, to be honest I really have nothing to compare it with, other than an old 21” push mower.

The one thing that I have found, is that with the taller, thicker areas, I must travel in a near “straight” path. If I travel in an arc, even a fairly large arc, it seems to miss cutting a narrow ridge between the middle and outer blades (I think). It also does this on the turn-arounds. However, one last finish cut, transverse to the turn-arounds, corrects this, and all is well. ....

I got a BX2230 in April with a 60 mmm and I love the way it cuts, I only have 24 hrs on it but it is very even and smooth. I have not had any skips between the blades when turning or problems scalping the high spots. The dealer set it up for 3 inches and I have kept it there. I used to mow closer and I like the extra length of the grass, It is much thicker this year. That could be because it rains so often this year but I think the extra length helps
I have noticed that if I keep making sharp turns around some of the trees, I get marks from the small wheels on the mower were they slide in a tight turn especially were the inside of the turn is higher than the outside, the outside gets marks. Now I don't turn as tight as it will go, I make the turn with several backups and the marks have gone away. ....

Obviously I like the 2210, but I would suggest you checking the air pressure, level front to back as well as side to side, and if needed, take a tape measure and go around the tire, pressure could be similar but one may have a larger diameter. ....
